SkyTeam Signs Agreement with China Southern, Reinforcing Airline’s Commitment to Join the Alliance
Alliance moves closer to welcoming first Chinese carrier

GUANGZHOU, June 28, 2006 - Today SkyTeam alliance signed a Global Airline Alliance Adherence Agreement (GAAAA) with China Southern Airlines, the largest airline in the People's Republic of China, indicating that the Chinese carrier is on track for official alliance membership. The agreement is a formal step in the alliance's new member process and outlines China Southern Airlines' commitment to meet the stringent set of standards to be officially recognized as a member of SkyTeam.

SkyTeam Update on European Commission Investigation

ROISSY, 19 June 2006 - The members of SkyTeam (other than Aeroflot ) confirm that they have just received a so-called statement of objections from the European Commission. A statement of objections is a normal step in a Commission competition investigation, and the members of SkyTeam shall now examine carefully the Commission's objections.

Nine SkyTeam Carriers Agree to Co-Locate at London Heathrow International Airport
Co-location to Provide Greater Convenience to Travelers

LONDON, June 9, 2006 — Today, nine SkyTeam carriers signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with British Airport Authority (BAA) to co-locate their facilities in Terminal 4 at London Heathrow International Airport (LHR) providing easier connections and more convenience to the nearly 3.5 million SkyTeam passengers who travel through LHR each year. According to the agreement, by 2008 carriers with existing LHR service, including Aeroflot, Air France, Alitalia, Czech Airlines and Korean Air, will join KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, which currently serves its passengers in this terminal. Other carriers — Aeromexico, Delta Air Lines, and Northwest Airlines — will have the option to operate in this terminal should they serve LHR in the future.

PARIS, June 2, 2006 - SkyTeam announced today that the alliance is seeing strong momentum in network development on a global and market level as China Southern continues to make progress on fulfilling alliance joining requirements and as Portugalia Airlines takes the first steps toward becoming a SkyTeam Associate Airline. The announcement was made during a press briefing in conjunction with the SkyTeam Governing Board's meeting today in Paris. In addition to network development, the executives provided updates on key SkyTeam service areas.

PARIS, June 2, 2006 - SkyTeam, the global airline alliance, announced it will be the official alliance of the 2007 Paris Air Show, after signing International Paris Air Show Le Bourget as the first SkyTeam Global Meetings customer. SkyTeam will provide the event organizers with a streamlined process for arranging travel for the show’s attendees and exhibitors. This agreement comes less than a month after the initial launch of the new SkyTeam Global Meetings product.
