November 15, 2004: Jean-Cyril Spinetta awarded "Person of the year 2004" by the French-American Chamber of Commerce.

Representatives from SkyTeam Member airlines gathered together in Amsterdam on October 9 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines with President and CEO, Leo M. van Wijk, and CEO of Air France and Chairman of Air France-KLM, Jean-Cyril Spinetta.

Continental Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Northwest Airlines officially joined the SkyTeam Alliance at an event on 13 September in New York City.
