Marie-Joseph Malé

Marie-Joseph Malé is the Managing Director of SkyTeam Airline Alliance management, U.A, the centralized management body of SkyTeam, based in Amsterdam since April 1, 2009.

Previously, Mr. Malé served as executive vice president of internal control and audit for the Air France KLM Group. In this role he coordinated and supervised internal audit, risk management and fraud prevention activities as well as managed internal control activities, most notably in the area of financial reporting. He also served as a member of the Air France Executive Committee and was a permanent attendee of the Air France KLM Audit Committee.

From 2003 to 2007, Mr. Malé served as vice president & general manager of Air France for the United States. Before that, he was the Chairman and CEO of both Air France Consulting and Amadeus France Services for two years.

During his 19 year career with Air France, Mr. Malé held various positions in Asia Pacific, including Executive Vice President and Managing Director for Asia Pacific based in Hong Kong; Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Asia Pacific, Vice President of Routes (Japan, India, Korea and New Caledonia) and Deputy Vice President of Corporate International Agreements. He was also posted in 1990 in Rome as manager for Southern and Central Italy.

Before joining Air France in 1990, he was in UTA in the Planning & Scheduling department and started as a junior consultant in the African division of the B.C.E.O.M., a leading French urban transportation consulting firm.

Mr. Malé holds a Masters of Science in transportation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), an engineering degree from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (Paris) and an engineering degree from école Polytechnique (Paris).
