Convenient Connections with SkyTeamFlight to flight, plane to plane, your journey should connect without much hassle. Thanks to our extensive SkyTeam network, itineraries with connecting flights are simple to arrange. Coordinated flight schedules give you more flight choices and make connections faster and easier. SkyTeam is working to improve your flying experience by making it possible for you to enjoy a more seamless journey. Seamlessly Connect at SkyTeam Hubs Where are SkyTeam hubs? Aeroflot
Examples of our efforts to make connections easier is our Members’ co-location at Tokyo's Narita International Airport, where Aeroflot, Aeromexico, Air France, Alitalia, Delta, KLM and Korean Air operate at Terminal 1 in the North Wing; and at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport where all nine SkyTeam members operate at Terminal 2: Aeroflot, Aeromexico, Air France, Alitalia, China Southern, CSA Czech Airlines, Delta, KLM and Korean Air. All co-located facilities offer check-in kiosks, premium customer check-in facilities; transfer desks and shared lounge facilities. Next to co-location at its hubs, SkyTeam is always searching worldwide within its network for opportunities to jointly locate. SkyTeam envisions co-location at major airport hubs and worldwide facilities in order to help you make more convenient transfers. SkyTeam Heathrow Terminal 4 SkyTeam has taken advantage of the latest in design technology to create a "home-away-from-home" for passengers awaiting departures out of Terminal 4 - a place to work, relax, dine or catch up on reading. The first level of the lounge includes a wide range of features such as a reception and standard airline service desk area, an entertainment center including computer games and a wide selection of international newspapers and magazines, as well as luggage storage. Complimentary Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the facility and passengers can take advantage of dedicated business areas with three personal computers and two workstations. Designed by Brandimage-Desgrippes & Laga, the concept of the new lounge invokes SkyTeam's brand identity through a look that is modern, welcoming and expressive of movement. From the lighting and furniture to the walls and circular wine bar, the lounge was designed entirely in fluid, curved forms with no angles. In addition, all SkyTeam airlines serving Heathrow will co-locate into Terminal 4 by November 2009. SkyTeam will open a new dedicated premium check-in area for customers traveling in Business and First Class as well as Elite and Elite-Plus members. Discover the new lounge facilities at Heathrow Terminal 4 Planning for Your Convenience Next to this continuous effort, SkyTeam is setting up SkyTeam Hubways. In May 2008, a number of SkyTeam Hubways were realized at hub airports, such as Amsterdam, Paris, Minneapolis and Detroit. The Transfer Control centers at each of these airports monitor for possible passenger misconnections. Aside from proactive measures to avoid misconnections, misconnected passengers are proactively offered a seat on an alternative flight. SkyTeam’s goal is to extend this initiative to all SkyTeam Hub airports. Transfer Kiosks in the Works Giving You More Information Gate information is made readily available, so you know where to go. On skyteam.com and in in-flight magazines and audio/video on-demand systems, you can find airport maps of SkyTeam hubs. Examples of information we provide include an overview of the SkyTeam airlines in operation at the hubs, as well as locations of lounges. Service recovery is a key element of SkyTeam’s relationship with our members. SkyTeam airlines are working on notification services in case SkyTeam flights are delayed or canceled. SkyTeam is also developing a SkyTeam Arrival Video at each hub, so passengers can find information on the transfer airports within their itinerary. |
